What we do

Full replacements only. Every tub and shower job we do is a full replacement. The old tub or shower comes out completely, and a new tiled or acrylic system goes in. We don’t do one-day overlays or liners installed over your existing tub.

Every part of the bathroom

Walk-in showers & tub-to-shower conversions — easy to step into, easy to clean
Custom tile work — floors, walls, niches and shower benches
Vanities & countertops — single, double and floating
Heated floors & towel warmers — worth it every January
Frameless glass shower doors — clean lines, nothing to hide grime
Plumbing relocation & upgrades — move fixtures where they make sense
Exhaust fans & lighting — proper ventilation matters
Accessible & aging-in-place layouts — safe now, still looks like a bathroom
Waterproofing & moisture protection — built for our winters and our humidity

Where most bathroom calls start

Nobody calls us because they want a new bathroom for fun. Something pushed them. Here are the reasons we hear most around Wayne, northern Cayuga and western Oswego.

01

The tub nobody uses

Kids are grown, the tub collects stuff, and climbing over the side is getting harder. A walk-in shower in the same footprint usually fixes all three.

02

Soft floor by the toilet or tub

A little give when you step there means water has been getting under the floor for a while. That needs to come out to the subfloor, not get covered up.

03

Orange stains that won’t scrub off

Well water with iron and hard water eats fixtures and stains grout and fiberglass. We plan finishes and fixtures that hold up to the water you actually have.

04

Mold on the ceiling every winter

Old farmhouses and village homes often have no fan, or a fan vented into the attic. Fixing the venting is part of the remodel, not an extra.

05

A parent moving in

Grab bars, a curbless shower and a comfort-height toilet need blocking and layout planned in before the walls close.

06

Getting a house ready to sell

A dated or failing bathroom costs you at the showing. We’ll tell you what’s worth replacing and what isn’t.

Before you call

What to do first

1

Check for soft spots

Press around the toilet, tub and vanity. Look for loose tile, cracked grout lines and stains on the ceiling below.

2

Take a few photos

The whole room, the tub or shower, the floor and any damage. Send them with your call so we come prepared.

3

Know your water

Well or public? Any staining? It changes what we recommend for fixtures and finishes.

4

Get one walkthrough

We look at the room, explain what’s failing and why, and give you one price for a full replacement.

Every tub and shower job is a full replacement. The old system comes out and a new one goes in, done right underneath.

Shower remodels

Torn out to the studs. Built back solid.

We pull old fiberglass inserts and tired tile down to the framing, fix any rot or bad framing we find, and waterproof the whole wet area before anything goes back up.

Then we build the shower back in tile, a solid-surface kit, or whatever fits the budget. Niches, benches, grab bars and glass get planned in from the start, not tacked on later.

  • Curbless or low-curb walk-in showers
  • Subfloor, slope and drain done right
  • Tile, panels and frameless glass
Bathroom work we do

Big suite or tight half bath

Most homes around here have at least one bathroom that needs work. Here is what we build most.

01

Tub-to-shower conversions

Nobody uses the tub? We pull it and build a full shower in the same footprint, with the valve moved, drain reset and walls framed out properly.

02

Tub replacement & walk-in tubs

New alcove tub, freestanding soaker, or a walk-in tub with a door and seat. We check drain size and hot water supply before anything gets ordered.

03

Accessible bathrooms

Grab bars set into real blocking, comfort-height toilets, wider doors, curbless showers, handheld heads and slip-resistant floors.

04

Primary bathrooms

Relocated plumbing, a double vanity, a bigger shower or a whole new layout. Demo, plumbing, electrical, tile and finish under one contract.

05

Small baths & half baths

Narrow or wall-hung vanities, pocket doors, recessed storage and a smart fixture layout to get the most out of a tight room.

06

Bathroom design

We lay out fixtures, tile, vanity, lighting and storage with you. You see the plan and the price together, so demo day holds no surprises.

Bathroom remodeling FAQ

Bathroom questions, answered

My floor is soft near the toilet. Can I wait?

You can, but it only gets worse. A soft floor means water has been getting into the subfloor. Waiting usually turns a floor repair into a joist repair.

We’re on well water with iron. Does that change the remodel?

Yes. We steer you toward fixtures, finishes and grout that hide and resist iron and hard-water staining, and we can point you toward a water treatment setup if the staining is bad.

How much does a bathroom remodel cost?

It depends on scope, layout changes and materials. We walk through pricing line by line at your house and give you one number for the whole job. Call (315) 754-9996.

Why choose TGM for a bathroom remodel?

An owner involved on every job, in-house design with 3D renderings, and a lifetime craftsmanship warranty.

Can you turn my tub into a walk-in shower?

Yes. We pull the tub, move the valve, reset the drain, frame and waterproof, then build a full shower in the same footprint.

Do you build accessible bathrooms?

Yes. Curbless showers, grab bars on real blocking, comfort-height toilets, wider doors and slip-resistant floors.

Are you insured?

Yes, fully insured on every job.

What areas do you serve?

All of Wayne County, northern Cayuga County and western Oswego County. Every consultation is at your house.
