Port Byron, Weedsport and old framing
Port Byron took its name in 1825 as a port on the Erie Canal, and Enlarged Erie Canal Lock 52 still sits just outside the village. Weedsport grew along the same canal. Their houses are old, and their kitchens have been rebuilt many times by many hands.
That history shows up when we open a wall: settled floors, mixed wiring and old drains. We fix the structure and the systems first, then set cabinets level.

Refresh or full remodel
Keep the layout and change surfaces, or move the sink, range and walls. That decision drives the scope.
List what does not work
No landing space by the fridge, a dark corner, no pantry. That becomes the plan.
Find your permit office
Permits come from your town or village, not the county. The Town of Sterling code office is at 1290 State Route 104A and covers Martville; the Villages of Fair Haven, Weedsport and Port Byron each have their own code officer.

Before you commit
Permits
Swapping cabinets in place often needs no permit. New circuits, moved plumbing or walls do. The town or village code officer issues it, and we handle the application.
Seasonal kitchens
For a cottage, we plan the work while you are not there and choose finishes that do not mind a closed-up winter.
What moves the price
Moving plumbing or walls, cabinet grade, counters, electrical updates and what we find in the floor. Changes are priced before they happen.
Living through it
Dust walls, floor protection and a temporary spot for the fridge and microwave. We clean up every day.

Do I need a permit for a kitchen remodel in Fair Haven?
